Came across an article in a newspaper some time back which gave the official definition of an "IDIOT".
The article mentioned that if you are -
1. unable to count till 20.
2. unable to list the days of the week.
3. Fail to remember the names of one's parents.
then you are fully eligible for holding the "coveted" title of an "IDIOT" according to our Honourable Supreme Court.
Now can anyone please expain how do the intelligent people sitting there get the time to make such decisions when so many cases are pending in the court. Our juducial system has perhaps the lowest ratio of the number of Judges to the number of people, and this is how we utilise our "already crunched" time.
Coming back to the topic, by the above definition, an "illiterate orphan" has one more degree with him, the degree of being an oficial idiot. The "illiterate" factor is enough for violating the first two conditions and the "orphan" factor makes him an ideal candidate for such an epithet.
Instead of helping these people, we are making new laws to clasify them further with such indignity.
i would sincerely want our Supreme Court to utilise its time in doing some work for the betterment of our country rather than wasting it in making useless laws.
